Each screen shows what belongs in that place at that hour, chosen by location, time, date and priority, without anyone maintaining a slideshow or remembering to take last month's notice down.
Staff cast to the rooms they are permitted to reach, one classroom or several at once, from anywhere. Screens are not discoverable on the network, so there is nothing for a student to find and nothing to hijack.
An emergency takes over everything at once, spoken aloud, outranking whatever was playing and waking screens that had gone to sleep.
This is a structural fact rather than a policy commitment, and it is the reason the question is short. Students do not sign in to Ava Display, cannot send anything through it, and are never asked for anything by it. Content moves in one direction, from authorized staff to screens.
Staff accounts provided by the school, the screens themselves and their operating condition, the content staff create, and a record of which staff member sent what, where and when.
A teacher can let a student show work on the classroom screen using a single-use code issued from the front of the room. It works only on the school network, only for that session, and expires when the teacher ends it. The student has no account and nothing about them is recorded.
Because no education records reach the product, the record-handling obligations that normally apply to a school vendor have nothing to attach to here. Schools that also require content and casting to stay inside the building can add the on-site Edge.
A teaching partner for every child on the screens a school already trusts: lessons paced to the student in front of her, practice that adapts, grading that sounds like the teacher rather than a machine, and a real bridge home. It is being built with schools, in real classrooms. It is early, and we take a small number of schools who want to shape it. A district that needs student-data documentation gets it before anything starts.
